The walleyes were plentiful but small. That's OK, the small ones are the best eaters!

Here's Nancy playing a fish. The walleyes seemed to like leeches rigged with a lime green floating jig and a small split shot.

Please note one more detail. In every photo you'll see people wearing their PFD. It just goes without question. None in our groups would consider getting into a canoe without WEARING one.

BTW, that's an old Quoachita 17 footer they're using.  I bought it used about twenty years ago. I suspect it's older than I am.

Shelly and Maxx watching the river go by. That canoe is my Wenonah MinnII in an ultralight kevlar layup.

This is one of those photos that always draws a comment. It looks like I've tied one end of a red rope to Maxx's tongue and the other end to the downed tree. Don't call the ASPCA, I swear it's an optical illusion!

Lunch was Pita with summer sausage, peanut butter or hummus. I liked the hummus, Max preferred the sausage.
