The power of that storm was awesome. Hillsides were flattened like this for miles.
Much of the shoreline was an impenetrable tangle.
We fished the river and Peterson Lake and ran into several walleyes and smallmouths. All were returned to the water unharmed. We returned to camp later in the afternoon. We fished our little bay and found a few more small walleyes. Throughout the day we saw several more Forest Service work crews on the water and could hear the sound of chainsaws coming from the Burnt Lake portage.
Dinner was sirloin tips sauteed with peppers and onions, hard rolls, and a salad on the side. Desert was pudding cups.
